Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MyKids History (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile applications, related websites (including pages hosted on Firebase), and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is designed for families. We expect parents or legal guardians to create and manage accounts and child profiles. If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for your child’s use of the Service under your supervision.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and contact data. When you sign in (for example, with email or a third-party identity provider), we receive identifiers and profile details such as your email address and display name associated with your account.
  • Child profile data you provide. Information you enter to personalize stories may include a child’s first name or nickname, age range, gender (if you choose to provide it), optional avatar or photo references, and story preferences. This data is used to generate and display personalized content.
  • Generated content. Text, audio, and images produced for your stories may be stored or processed so you can access them in the app (for example, in cloud storage tied to your account).
  • Purchase and entitlement data. When you buy story tokens or a subscription, Apple, Google Play, and/or our subscription partner (such as RevenueCat) process payment and share with us transaction identifiers, product type (one-time token pack vs. subscription), subscription status, and related metadata so we can credit tokens and unlock features. We do not receive your full card number.
  • Technical and usage data. Device type, operating system, app version, diagnostic logs, and aggregated analytics events (for example, via Google Firebase Analytics) to improve stability and understand feature usage.
  • Crash data. Crash and error reports (for example, via Firebase Crashlytics) to diagnose bugs.
  • Optional audio. If you use features that record or upload voice audio (for example, narration or voice-related personalization), that audio is processed for the feature you requested.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • Generate and deliver personalized stories and media;
  • Authenticate users, sync content across devices, and secure accounts;
  • Process purchases and enforce access to free vs. paid content;
  • Show optional advertising to users who do not have an active subscription or ad-free entitlement, where implemented in the app (see below);
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect rights and safety.

3. AI and third-party processing

Personalized story features may rely on third-party AI, text-to-speech, and image-generation providers (for example, Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, and, when configured, OpenAI). When you request generation, relevant prompts and content you supply may be sent to those providers solely to produce your requested output, subject to their terms and privacy policies.

4. Advertising

Our app includes advertising. If you do not have an active subscription or other entitlement that removes ads, you may see third-party advertisements inside the app. Ads help support free or lower-cost access to the Service.

Advertising may be delivered through networks such as Google AdMob and, where enabled, other partners (for example, additional ad networks). Depending on the placement, you may encounter formats such as rewarded video (watch to earn a benefit), banners, interstitials, or native-style ads.

Ad providers may collect and use information such as device identifiers (for example, advertising ID on Android or IDFA on iOS, where available), IP address, general location derived from IP, app usage related to ad delivery, and similar technical data. They use this data to measure performance, frequency cap ads, and show more relevant ads. Their practices are described in their own privacy policies.

Your choices. On many devices you can limit ad tracking or reset advertising identifiers in system settings (for example, “Limit Ad Tracking” / “Opt out of Ads Personalization”). Rewarded ads are optional in the sense that you choose whether to engage with them when offered. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of ad-supported features.

5. In-app purchases, subscriptions, and story tokens

The Service offers in-app purchases processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Prices below are in U.S. dollars (USD); your store may display another currency or a different price based on region, taxes, and platform rules. The price shown at checkout in the store controls.

  • Story token pack (one-time purchase): USD $19.99 for 5 story tokens. Tokens are virtual credits consumed when you generate or unlock certain story content in the app. One-time packs are typically treated as consumable by the stores (they may not be restorable like a non-consumable item—see the store’s help for your account).
  • Monthly subscription: USD $19.99 per month (recurring billing until cancelled). While your subscription is active, you receive 4 story tokens each billing month (or as otherwise described in the app at purchase). Unused tokens may be subject to rules shown in the app; subscription benefits end if you cancel and the paid period lapses.

We use purchase records to credit tokens, enforce limits, and restore entitlements where the platform allows. For subscription management (renewal date, cancellation, refunds), follow Apple’s or Google’s instructions; we do not control their billing systems.

6. Service providers

We use trusted service providers to host data and run the Service, including:

  • Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting);
  • Google Mobile Ads / AdMob and other ad networks for serving advertisements;
  • Apple App Store and Google Play for in-app purchases and subscriptions;
  • Subscription management tools (such as RevenueCat);
  • AI, voice, and media generation partners as described above.

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards appropriate to the service they provide.

7. Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent in jurisdictions that require it. Child profiles and personalization should be created and managed by a parent or guardian. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account data where applicable; some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as billing records).

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or legal mechanisms for cross-border transfers.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also opt out of marketing communications (we send these only if you have opted in). To exercise rights, contact us using the details below. You can also manage some preferences in your device or app store settings.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
